DRAPER — Corner Canyon beat Lehi 34-7 on Wednesday, Oct. 14 in the Chargers' final regular-season home game, running its record to 8-2 overall and 3-1 in 6A Region 3, second behind Skyridge, according to the Draper Herald 1. The Utah High School Activities Association's scoreboard for Oct. 14 lists the game as Corner Canyon 34, Lehi 7 2.

The ground game carried the Chargers: running back Levi Hines scored two rushing touchdowns, senior Jackson Carruth scored one, and Kelen Gold also reached the end zone, while kicker Carson Burnett made two field goals, the Draper Herald reported, citing the team's post on X 1. Lehi scored one touchdown 1. The Deseret News' school page for Corner Canyon lists head coach Casey Sutera with an 8-2 record and the Oct. 14 result against Lehi as a 34-7 final 3.

The win was Corner Canyon's third in a row since a Sept. 25 loss to Skyridge, a stretch in which the Chargers have outscored opponents 131-24, according to the Draper Herald 1. Corner Canyon entered the week ranked No. 3 in the KSL Sports Rewind Top 25 and No. 5 in the Sports Illustrated Mountain West Top 25; both rankings were published before the Lehi game 1.

Head coach Casey Sutera has leaned on the run game all season. After the Chargers' Sept. 18 win over Lone Peak he told the Deseret News that the offensive line had recently hit its stride and praised Carruth for running "so hard" and getting "those difficult yards," the Draper Herald reported 1. Wednesday's game was senior night for a program that won last season's 6A state championship 1.

Lehi came in at 5-4 overall and 1-2 in region play after a 14-7 loss to Lone Peak the previous week 1.

The UHSAA is scheduled to release the 6A playoff brackets Saturday, Oct. 17 at 10 a.m. on KSLsports.com, with final rankings posted at UHSAA.org at 11 a.m., the Draper Herald reported 1.
