HERRIMAN — Herriman City has opened Monument Park, a 7.47-acre community park on the west side of the city built in partnership with the Olympia development. 1
The park, at 12723 S 6400 W, is now open to the public and was described by the city as another recreational destination for residents of all ages on the city's growing west side 1.
It includes a large and unique playground, a reservable pavilion with picnic tables and an on-site restroom facility. The park also has four pickleball courts for players of all skill levels and a spacious athletic field that the city said can accommodate a variety of recreational activities.
One of the park's most distinctive features is a large American-themed mural that is currently being completed on site and will serve as a prominent visual landmark within the park, the city said.
The city described the project as part of continued collaboration between Herriman and community development partners to provide new recreational opportunities and gathering spaces as the city continues to grow.
The city's announcement did not list park hours or detail any rules for the pickleball courts and athletic field.
