RIVERTON — Unified Fire Authority offers the public two CPR courses, Riverton City said in a public safety message dated Feb. 1, 2026 and tied to American Heart Month 1.
One is "Push to Survive: Hands-Only CPR," designed for the general public and free; the other is "Basic Life Support for the Health Care Provider," a more comprehensive course for healthcare professionals and first responders that costs $65 1. The city said offering accessible training for residents alongside advanced certification for professionals helps ensure lifesaving care can begin immediately, whether it is provided by a neighbor, coworker or trained responder 1.
The notice gave no course dates, locations or registration instructions, and no link for signing up for either course 1. The press and media contact named in the message is pio@rivertonutah.gov or 801-208-3134 1.
The city said cardiac arrest can happen to anyone, anywhere, at any time, and that immediate action is critical 1. It said situations requiring CPR are rare, but that "there have been recent instances in our community where it has made the difference between life and death," and that "many people are familiar with CPR, but few know how to properly perform it" 1.
