SOUTH JORDAN — Unified high school soccer teams from Bingham, Copper Hills, Herriman, Mountain Ridge, Riverton and West Jordan competed in this year's Special Olympics of Utah Unified Soccer Championship alongside teams from across northern Utah, the Jordan School District said in a post dated Oct. 13 1.
The district congratulated the teams from Copper Hills, Herriman and West Jordan that advanced to their championship matches, to be played at America First Field — home of Real Salt Lake and the Utah Royals — in Sandy at the end of the month 1.
Special Olympics Utah's Show Up Utah programme lists the 2026 Unified Soccer Championship for Oct. 29 at America First Field 23.
Unified Sports pairs athletes with and without intellectual disabilities on the same teams for training and competition, and the UHSAA has partnered with Special Olympics Utah to offer member schools interscholastic co-ed unified sports in soccer and track and field 4. The district's post did not report tournament results; it named no individual athletes 1, and the Ledger does not name them either.
