HERRIMAN — A Jordan School District bus driver is no longer employed by the district after Herriman police investigated a video recorded on a bus he was driving, according to a police report reviewed by Fox 13 and published by The Salt Lake Tribune 1.

The report states that Gabriele Basile, 65, recorded a 33-second video on Oct. 8 while driving a bus carrying district students, and that the recording showed up the skirt of a student passenger 1. The Tribune reported that he faces charges 1.

According to the Tribune's account of the report, Basile's wife found the video on the couple's shared Google account. When she confronted him, he cleared the phone and said he would report himself to the school and resign; when he did not, she had their daughter call police 1. The district told the Tribune that Basile is no longer employed by it 1.

The Ledger withholds identifying detail about the student, including age and school, under its standards for coverage that involves a minor. No court record of the charges was available at publication.
